Turkiye welcomes Iran-US deal, urges progress in future talks —— Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan told his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, during a phone call on Monday, that Ankara hopes future discussions between Iran and the US will produce positive results following the agreement reached, according to a Turkish diplomatic source to Reuters.
During the conversation, Fidan also cautioned against “provocations” that could undermine the agreement and reaffirmed Turkiye’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region, the source said. Araghchi, for his part, expressed gratitude to Turkiye for its role and efforts throughout the negotiation process, the source added.
