Red flags went up on Saler, Arbre del Gos, and Garrofera beaches, clearing the usually bustling shores as drones and helicopters were deployed to find the spill’s origin and assess its severity.

Cleanup crews worked to reclaim the sandy shores between the Mediterranean and L’Albufera wetland.
