🚨🇯🇵JAPAN’S ELDERLY POPULATION HITS RECORD HIGH AMID AGEING CRISIS

Japan’s elderly population reached a record 36.25 million this year, accounting for 29.3% of the total population, the highest proportion in the world.

As Japan contends with one of the fastest-ageing societies globally, the shrinking workforce and rising medical costs pose growing challenges.

Despite efforts to slow the trend, the country’s population continues to decline, with 9.14 million elderly people now part of the workforce.
