In a pre-inauguration warm-up, JD Vance sat down with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng to tackle fentanyl, trade, and regional stability — you know, the light stuff.

The meeting comes days after Trump’s first phone call with Xi Jinping since winning the election, where TikTok, Taiwan, and trade dominated the convo.

Xi skipped Trump’s invite to Monday’s inauguration, sending Han instead.

Trump is reportedly eager to visit China post-inauguration.

If it happens, it’ll be his second trip there, following his 2017 “great chemistry” tour in Beijing.
