Will Washington’s decision turn into a global ban on supplying weapons to the occupation army?

A report by the Hebrew “Ynet” website said that #US President Joe #Biden’s announcement to stop arms shipments to the Israeli occupation army if it invaded #Rafah did not surprise the occupation.

The report described the deliberations between the occupation and Washington regarding weapons supplies as being tantamount to a “dialogue of the deaf,” as the occupation government was unable to convince the Biden administration that its military plans would prevent the targeting of civilians in Rafah, especially after Biden admitted that the bombs that Washington supplied to the occupation army killed civilians in Gaza strip.

The report indicated that the statements of Israeli occupation government Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that the occupation army would invade Rafah despite global opposition, contributed greatly to the fact that this opposition turned into the central issue of disagreement between the occupation and the Western democracies, led by the United States.

The report considered that the talk is not currently about a comprehensive arms embargo on the occupation army, but rather an announcement about stopping the supply of aerial ammunition in the form of precision bombs weighing one and a quarter tons.

The report stated, “If the occupation ignores this threat and expands the military operation in Rafah, this will apparently lead to a ban not only on certain types of bombs, but also on aerial ammunition in general, which the occupation forces need and the United States is its only source.”

According to the report, the occupation is capable of dealing with the actual military consequences of the US ban on offensive weapons, because the Israeli occupation army’s stores are full as a result of continuous supplies in recent months. However, the report pointed out that the occupation army is wasteful in using precision ammunition.

The report added: “Now, the arms embargo on Israel, even if it is partial and refers to preventing the invasion of Rafah, constitutes a message to the world, especially to Britain and other European countries, to prevent supplying the occupation army with weapons and spare parts, and this creates a danger in the long term, especially since the confrontation The big deal with Iran is still ahead of us and may happen sooner than the occupation army estimates.”
