U.S. General Charles Q. Brown, made a surprise visit to the Middle East, starting in Jordan and including stops in Israel and Egypt.

The visit aims to prevent broader conflict in the region, particularly amid rising tensions involving Iran, Hezbollah, and Israel.

The U.S. has increased its military presence, including deploying the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group, to deter potential threats and safeguard American forces.
