ЁЯЪиЁЯЗ╕ЁЯЗйSUDAN’S CIVIL WAR WORSENS AS CONGRESS URGED TO RESTORE AID

Rep. Gregory Meeks:

“Around 50 million people now face famine, displacement, or acute food insecurity in Sudan.”

Since fighting erupted in April 2023 between SudanтАЩs military and the Rapid Support Forces, over 150,000 people have died.

The U.S. State Department has labeled mass killings and ethnic violence as crimes against humanity.

As battles intensify, including the recent recapture of KhartoumтАЩs presidential palace, the humanitarian crisis deepens.

Congress is being urged to restore assistance after prior aid cuts, as the conflict shows no signs of resolution and U.S. support remains limited.
