🚨🇹🇷 TURKEY REMOVES KURDISH MAYORS ON TERRORISM CHARGES

Turkey removed three Kurdish mayors from Mardin, Batman, and Halfeti, accusing them of supporting the banned PKK group.

These mayors, who were elected in March, were replaced with government-picked officials.

DEM, the Kurdish party, called this a major attack on Kurdish voting rights, saying the government is using the law to take over what it couldn’t win in elections.

Istanbul’s opposition leader, Ekrem Imamoglu, strongly criticized the move, saying it ignores the people’s choice.
