🚨🇺🇸🇨🇴 TRUMP SLAPS COLOMBIA WITH TARIFFS—COLOMBIA RESPONDS WITH PRESIDENTIAL PLANE

Trump slapped Colombia with a 25% tariff on imports and threatened more punishment, but President Gustavo Petro wasn’t about to stay quiet.

He offered his presidential plane to bring deportees home, calling it a move to ensure “dignified conditions” for migrants—aka, “we’ll do it ourselves.”

This all started when Petro blocked U.S. military deportation flights, accusing the U.S. of treating Colombian migrants “like criminals” and demanding civilian planes be used instead.

Trump’s response? A tariff tantrum.

Now, the two leaders are in a full-blown geopolitical staring contest, and the migrants are stuck in the crossfire.

🚨🇺🇸🇨🇴BREAKING | TRUMP TO COLOMBIA: IF YOU WON’T TAKE OUR FLIGHTS, TAKE THESE TARIFFS

“I was just informed that two repatriation flights from the United States, with a large number of Illegal Criminals, were not allowed to land in Colombia.

This order was given by Colombia’s Socialist President Gustavo Petro, who is already very unpopular amongst his people.

Petro’s denial of these flights has jeopardized the National Security and Public Safety of the United States, so I have directed my Administration to immediately take the following urgent and decisive retaliatory measures:

-Emergency 25% tariffs on all goods coming into the United States. In one week, the 25% tariffs will be raised to 50%.

-A Travel Ban and immediate Visa Revocations on the Colombian Government Officials, and all Allies and Supporters.

-Visa Sanctions on all Party Members, Family Members, and Supporters of the Colombian Government.

-Enhanced Customs and Border Protection Inspections of all Colombian Nationals and Cargo on national security grounds.

-IEEPA Treasury, Banking and Financial Sanctions to be fully imposed.

These measures are just the beginning. We will not allow the Colombian Government to violate its legal obligations with regard to the acceptance and return of the Criminals they forced into the United States!”

🚨🇨🇴🇺🇸BREAKING: COLOMBIA REFUSES U.S. MIGRANT DEPORTATION FLIGHTS

Colombian President Gustavo Petro said he will not allow U.S. planes carrying deported migrants to land in Colombia.

Petro:

“A migrant is not a criminal and must be treated with the dignity that a human being deserves.

That’s why I turned back the US military planes that were carrying Colombian migrants.

I cannot allow migrants to remain in a country that does not want them; but if that country sends them back, it must be with dignity and respect for them and for our country.

We will receive our fellow citizens on civilian planes, without treating them like criminals.

Colombia is respected.”

This comes as other Latin American countries push back against U.S. deportation policies.

Brazil criticized the “degrading treatment” of its citizens on a recent flight, while Mexico recently blocked a deportation plane from landing.

U.S. officials have not yet responded to these concerns.
