🚨🇸🇾WHO ARE THESE REBELS TAKING ON ASSAD AND PUTIN IN SYRIA?
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) is a militant Islamist group leading the fight in northwest Syria against Assad’s regime and Russian forces.
Born in 2017 from Jabhat al-Nusra, an al-Qaeda offshoot, HTS controls much of Idlib—the last major opposition stronghold. They claim to protect civilians from Assad while running local governance in the region.
Despite their past ties to al-Qaeda and being labeled a terrorist organization by many, HTS has positioned itself as the main resistance force in Syria’s brutal civil war, daring to go head-to-head with Assad and his powerful allies.

🚨🇸🇾SYRIA REBELS LAUNCH MAJOR OFFENSIVE – CAPTURE TERRITORY
Rebels in northwest Syria, led by the militant group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), have launched a large-scale offensive, seizing territory from Assad’s forces for the first time in years.
Heavy clashes have resulted in 180 combatants killed on both sides and 19 civilians dead from Syrian and Russian airstrikes on opposition-held areas.
This is a major development in Syria’s civil war, which has already claimed over 500,000 lives since 2011.
Idlib remains the last major opposition stronghold, housing over 4 million displaced people.

NEW: Syrian rebels forces have captured huge chunk of territory near Aleppo from the Assad forces today.
They were responding to harassment fire from the Assad forces which pushed civilians to flee deeper towards to Turkish border.
One pro-Kremlin telegram account named it as “the Syrian army’s own local Kursk operation”
“The militants’ impending offensive was known in advance, but at the moment of the attack there were not enough forces at hand to repel it, and the defenders fled, opening the way for the enemy to quickly make deep breakthroughs forward.”
