Only 6.8% of dads in South Korea take parental leaveтАФbut the government is pushing to boost that to 70% by 2030.

Moms are already at 70%, so itтАЩs time for dads to step up.

Starting February, parents can take up to 18 months of leave each if both take at least 3 months.

Pay starts at 2.5 million won ($1,782) for the first 3 monthsтАФbecause diapers donтАЩt buy themselves.

Meanwhile, South Korea is battling the worldтАЩs lowest birth rate at 0.76 kids per woman.

With fertility tests, maternity care upgrades, and more support for parents, theyтАЩre hoping to hit a whopping 1 birth per woman by 2030.
