According to the Atlantic, the Crown Prince reportedly told Blinken:

“Do I care personally about the Palestinian issue?

I don’t, but my people do, so I need to make sure this is meaningful.”

Saudi officials have slammed The Atlantic’s report on Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s stance as “incorrect.”

The comment allegedly was misquoted from a discussion on Saudi-Israel normalization.
