Russia has summoned the French ambassador to Moscow to complain about “unacceptable” comments by French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejourne.

FRENCH FM: “It is not in our interest currently to hold discussions with Russian officials because the statements and the summaries issued about them are lies.”

RUSSIA FM: “The French ambassador was informed about the unacceptable character of such statements, which have nothing to do with reality,” the foreign ministry said in a statement, denouncing a “deliberate act” that “aimed to undermine the possibility of any dialogue between the two countries”.
