In a related context, an opinion poll conducted by Gallup earlier showed that the majority of Americans do not approve of the Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip, in a stark shift.

The new results, published by Axios, come at a time when the occupation forces are preparing to launch a controversial ground military attack in the border city of Rafah, which coincides with escalating tensions between US President Joe Biden and occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The poll indicates that 55% of Americans disapprove of the Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip, an increase of 10 percentage points since November, according to the new poll.
