🚨🇳🇱 NETHERLANDS TO BAN FOREIGN ADOPTIONS

Over the past 50 years, Dutch parents adopted around 40,000 children from 80 countries, with the process coming to a nearly 2-year freeze in 2021 and 2022.

The decision to ban foreign adoptions comes after numerous adult adoptees discovered that their birth documents had been forged or lost, and that many adoptions had been illegal.

Intercountry adoption procedures already in progress will continue for now.
