In response to increasing threats, NATO allies are collaborating to create a ‘drone wall’ along their eastern flank for round-the-clock monitoring of Russia and Belarus.

Finland, Norway, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia will pool resources for thousands of drones, mainly for intelligence and surveillance.

The fleet could also include attack drones for defense purposes.

NATO sees this as part of a strategy to counter alleged hostile actions by Russia and Belarus, including cyberattacks, attempted arson, and illegal migrant crossings aimed at destabilizing the EU.
