🚨🇲🇲🇨🇳 MYANMAR’S MILITARY LEADER VISITS CHINA AS BORDER DEFEATS ESCALATE

Myanmar’s military leader, Senior Gen. Min Aung Hlaing, is heading to China this week, marking his first visit since the 2021 coup that ousted Aung San Suu Kyi’s government.

The trip follows major losses for Myanmar’s army near the Chinese border, where ethnic groups and pro-democracy fighters have seized key areas.

China, Myanmar’s biggest trading partner and a primary arms supplier, is concerned about instability affecting its business interests and regional stability.

Min Aung Hlaing will attend economic summits in Kunming and discuss military and economic cooperation with Chinese leaders, seeking to secure Chinese support as he contends with resistance forces back home.
