🚨🇺🇸KENTUCKY CATHOLIC MONK COMES OUT AS TRANSGENDER

The 39-year-old monk lives as a hermit, and his move is a first for the Catholic Church.

Matson:

“This is God’s church, and God has called us into it.

I can’t stand by and let this false understanding of being transgender continue to hurt people.

I just want to serve the church while being truthful to myself.”

With the permission of his bishop, John Stowe of the Diocese of Lexington, Matson announced his transition on Pentecost Sunday.

Bishop Stowe:

“Hermits can be either male or female… I didn’t see any harm in letting him live this vocation.”

Matson, who transitioned in college and became a Catholic in 2010, took his vows as a diocesan hermit in 2022.
