Syrian media claims Israeli strikes targeted sites near Damascus and 2 airbases elsewhere in the country.

Reports say the Barzeh research center near Damascus, Hama Air Base, and the T-4 airbase near Palmyra were hit.

The IDF carried out fresh airstrikes early Tuesday, following a similar strike Friday night.

IDF Spokesperson:

“The IDF will continue to act in order to remove any threat posed to the citizens of the State of Israel.”

Defense Minister Israel Katz recently confirmed Israel’s strategy of demilitarizing southern Syria to prevent it from becoming ‘another southern Lebanon.’
