India just showed up at the BRICS summit alongside Putin and Xi, while China threatens war over Taiwan and Russia continues its war in Ukraine.

But somehow, India is navigating this global storm and benefiting from both sides.

Since 2022, India’s been importing cheap Russian oil while maintaining massive military deals—70% of its defense hardware comes from Russia.

Yet, India’s also deepening ties with the West, especially through partnerships like the Quad to counter China in the Indo-Pacific.

The kicker? India is also forging stronger ties with Iran, a country the West is desperate to control.

They’re working with Iran to develop the strategic Chabahar port, gaining access to trade routes and increasing influence in the Middle East.

All while Iran remains at odds with the U.S. over nuclear ambitions and tensions with Israel.

India is playing both sides expertly—balancing ties with Russia, strengthening partnerships with the U.S., and strategically aligning with key players like Iran.

It’s using BRICS as a platform to boost its global standing while walking the fine line between East and West.
