U.S. Official:

“The deal is structured so that a ceasefire is needed for people to be able to come to the north.

During the first weeks of the ceasefire, the goal is to make sure there are conditions for the population to return to northern Gaza – shelter, UN inspection, and aid.

When the conditions are ready, people will return,”

There are indications from Hamas that it does not intend to postpone the exchange deal… it is ready to sit at the negotiating table.”
