🇮🇩ELON: INTERNET CONNECTIVITY CAN BE A LIFESAVER
Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, Indonesia’s Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, met Elon as he launched the trial of Starlink for community health centers in the country.
Indonesia is home to more than 270 million people living across three time zones, and Starlink will enable people in remote areas to enjoy the same fast internet access as those in urban areas.

ELON: STARLINK WILL MOVE THE GDP OF COUNTRIES
“Once you have access to the internet, you have access to all the world’s information.
But if you don’t have access to the internet, or it’s too expensive or low bandwidth, then you cannot access the MIT lessons. You can’t access all the information, and you can’t sell the goods and services that you produce.
So, internet connectivity is certainly a candidate for one of the things that would do more to lift people out of poverty than anything else because they can now sell their goods and services, learn anything, and work better.
Without connectivity, they cannot.”

🚨🇮🇩ELON LAUNCHES STARLINK IN INDONESIA
Signing an agreement with the government, Elon launched Starlink at three Indonesian health centers today, including two in Bali and one on the remote island of Aru in Maluku.
Elon: “I’m very excited to bring connectivity to places that have low connectivity. We are focusing this event on Starlink and the benefits that connectivity brings to remote islands.
I think it’s really to emphasize the importance of internet connectivity, how much that can be a lifesaver.”

“We’re focusing this event on Starlink and on the benefits that high bandwidth, high connectivity internet can bring to remote islands and rural communities.
I think it’s really important to emphasize the importance of internet connectivity and how much of a life-changer and a lifesaver that can be.
When you have access to the internet, you can learn anything. All the MIT lectures are online. You could literally be learning the things that people are learning at MIT or some other university.
You can learn anything if you’re connected to the internet, but if you’re not connected, it’s very difficult to learn.”
