Dev Anand, born on September 26, 1923, in Shakargarh, Punjab (now in Pakistan), was one of the most enduring and charismatic stars in Indian cinema. Known for his energetic performances, youthful charm, and distinctive style, Dev Anand made his debut in the 1946 film Hum Ek Hain but gained widespread recognition with Ziddi (1948). His collaboration with director Raj Khosla led to some of his most popular films in the 1950s and 1960s, including Baazi (1951), Jewel Thief (1967), and Guide (1965), the latter of which is regarded as one of the best performances of his career.
Dev Anand’s acting style was characterized by his ability to mix romance, suspense, and adventure. Often portraying the role of a romantic hero or a detective, he became a heartthrob of his era. His iconic pairing with actresses such as Nutan, Waheeda Rehman, and Zeenat Aman remains legendary. Apart from acting, Dev Anand was a prolific producer and director, founding his own production company, Navketan Films. He was instrumental in bringing new talent into Bollywood and is known for his contribution to shaping the industry.

1979 :: Film Star Dev Anand Founded New Political Party Named ‘National Party’ .

Dev Anand was against internal #Emergency imposed by than PM Indira Gandhi in 1975. In 1977, he actively campaigned against her during elections and formed a party called National Party of India with which he later disbanded.
Dev Anand Ji is remembered as an evergreen icon. His flair for storytelling and passion for cinema were unmatched. His films not only entertained but also reflected the changing society and aspirations of India. His timeless performances continue to influence generations.
