DEADLY FLASH FLOODS DEVASTATE SPAIN : 72 DEAD, HUNDREDS MISSING : VIDEO

Torrential rains have unleashed flash floods across Southern and Eastern Spain, turning streets into rivers, wrecking cars, and disrupting rail lines.

Rescue crews used helicopters and rubber boats to reach stranded residents as waters rose nearly 10 feet in some areas.

Valencia and surrounding regions were hit hardest, with entire neighborhoods destroyed and thick layers of mud blanketing the streets.

Spain’s government has deployed 1,600 emergency responders and declared three days of mourning as the country grapples with its worst natural disaster in recent memory.
