China says it will repatriate confirmed Chinese nationals from the U.S., a shift after years of resistance that frustrated U.S. immigration officials.

Trump had threatened tariffs and sanctions on countries refusing deportees, including China, Colombia, and Mexico. After Colombia backed down, Beijing is now signaling cooperation—but only for verified Chinese citizens.

With tens of thousands of Chinese migrants in the U.S. under deportation orders, this could reshape U.S.-China migration policy.
