Romania, a member of the EU and NATO with nearly 20 million people, held a presidential election, and Călin Georgescu won. But the EU and Romanian authorities annulled the results, claiming “Russian interference.”

Now, Georgescu has been arrested, his supporters’ homes have been raided, and his lawyers have reportedly been denied access to the prosecutor’s office—all just as he was about to officially file his candidacy for the upcoming election rerun in May.

Georgescu warned this would happen in my recent interview, saying authorities would raid his allies and find a way to frame him.

Today, officials claim they discovered a hidden safe containing €900,000 at the home of Horațiu Potra, one of Georgescu’s closest allies.

This fits a classic playbook used to discredit political opponents.

In my interview with Calin Georgescu, I asked him what their plan was after they canceled the election he won.

He was clear: They will raid his supporters and find a way to frame him.

His comments shook me, but I refused to believe him. Remember, the man was voted by Romanians to be their President, and Romania is part of the EU and NATO!

And again today, after Calin calls me and tells me he’s been arrested and his supporters raided, my team tells me the next step is to plant ‘evidence’ so they can block him from re-running for President.

And there it is!!

Authorities now claim they found a safe with 900,000 euros hidden in the floor at Horațiu Potra’s home—one of Georgescu’s close allies.

Let’s see what else they come up with. I’ve seen this playbook before, so my guess will be something to do with Russia, maybe some sort of ‘communication documents’ or ‘agreements’ or ‘travel documents’.

Let’s see how far they’re going to go with this.

I’m still hopeful democracy will prevail, but that hope is rapidly diminishing 😔
