BREAKING: HAMAS OFFICIAL STATEMENT

“The national and Islamic forces welcome the decision issued by the International Court of Justice, which affirmed the cessation of the aggression against the city of Rafah and the reopening of the Rafah land crossing. The national and Islamic forces stress the cessation of the fascist aggression against the city of Rafah and all parts of the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian territories, and the complete withdrawal of the Nazi occupation army. .

– The national and Islamic forces call on all parties to work seriously and truly in order to implement the decisions of the International Court of Justice, and not to procrastinate or obstruct them in a way that absolves the occupation of its responsibilities under various pretexts.

In this context, the forces call on all parties to work towards the complete withdrawal of the occupation from the Rafah crossing and to re-operate it as a purely Palestinian-Egyptian crossing in accordance with the agreed-upon mechanisms.

The powers warn against any formula to circumvent the decision of the International Court of Justice and the demands of the national and Arab consensus and all free people in the world to find alternatives that would legitimize the siege and occupation.

The needs of the Palestinian people to open all crossings, including the Rafah crossing, are an urgent need, and the normal operation of the Rafah crossing is even more urgent in light of the worsening humanitarian crisis, especially with the increasing number of wounded and the seriousness of the condition of thousands of them who are in urgent need of travel and receiving treatment and appropriate health care.

– Talking about bringing aid through the Kerem Shalom crossing is a small step that does not end the human tragedy resulting from the closure of the crossings, and the human suffering in the Gaza Strip does not stop at aid. Rather, there is an important necessity to operate the Rafah crossing as it was before its occupation, and to allow freedom of travel and movement. Especially the travel of the wounded and sick, the entry of medical delegations and humanitarian missions, the travel of students, pilgrims to the Holy House of God, and others.

We call on all parties to implement the decisions of the International Court of Justice, and we warn against any attempts to circumvent them and exempt the occupation from its responsibilities.”
