🚨🇫🇷 BREAKING : FRANCE DECLARES STATE OF EMERGENCY AND TIKTOK BAN IN NEW CALEDONIA

France has declared a state of emergency in New Caledonia following deadly riots over a new voting law.

Four people were killed as indigenous Kanaks protested against allowing long-term French residents to vote in local elections.

PM Attal announced a curfew, and the deployment of troops to secure ports and the airport, and a TikTok ban.

The government has invited pro- and anti-independence groups for talks in Paris.

🇳🇨🇫🇷 France deployed the army to (its colony) New Caledonia amid protests for self determination!

Protests began Monday in response to the tabling of a vote 10,000 miles away in the French parliament proposing changes to New Caledonia’s constitution that would give greater voting rights to French residents living on the islands. On Tuesday, legislators voted overwhelmingly in favor of the change.

“The Kanak people are objecting to [the vote in France] not just because it’s been decided in Paris without them but also they feel that they want it to be part of a negotiation … which would include another self determination vote and a range of other things.”

🇫🇷The French Empire has deployed its military to put down insurgents in the Pacific island of New Caledonia, which is near Australia!

And France has also banned TikTok in that island to hide human rights violations.

France just declared a state of emergency and deployed military in New Caledonia after last night’s riots by locals against French residents being allowed to vote.

TikTok is now banned on the island as a result.

France is trying to organize peace negotiations in Paris.
