Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi confirmed that Trump “is safe” following “an incident” at his Pennsylvania rally, without providing further details.
Trump spokesman Steven Cheung added that Trump is “fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility.”
Cheung thanked law enforcement and first responders for their “quick action during this heinous act.”
The nature and severity of the “heinous act” remain unclear.
Officials have not confirmed reports of a possible shooting or injuries to rallygoers.

Rep. Dan Meuser, who was in the front row at the rally with Rep. Mike Kelly and Pennsylvania GOP Senate Candidate Dave McCormick, reported hearing 8-10 shots.
He stated that it appeared multiple people in the crowd might have been hit and were down.
Meuser noted that the shots sounded like they came from a .22 or a small-caliber weapon.

I went to the rally in North Philly on June 22, 2024! I’ve lived in Philadelphia, PA my whole life. I’ve followed politics since I was a kid. As an 80s baby, I have so far lived through, Regan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump and now Biden. No other President came to North Philly… and not just any part of North Philly… Temple University. During a time when Pro-Palestinian’s are causing havoc on College campuses, Temple University has havoc almost every weekend, all the time, because of the robbing and killing in that exact neighborhood. Cops really try their best to separate students from the violence on the “outskirts” (which is literally around the corner from most Temple buildings). Trump had to drive through that neighborhood to get into the Liacouras Center. When we all left and made our way to the parking lot, we were halted from exiting for about an hour, due to the police office who was shot that night in the face by Ramon Rodriguez Vasquez, after a “live stop” situation, turned shooting, turned hostage situation. We waited in the parking lot for about an hour. They couldn’t let us pour out on the streets while they were rushing the office to Temple Hospital and looking for the shooter. I love this city!! I love this state!! I never want to leave, but I have children. I have a 12 year old boy still and a 6 year old girl. They can’t use SEPTA. I can’t even get a job downtown anymore and I’m a paralegal. The train is too dangerous with shooting right on the platform. Trump’s Philly rally was breath-taking. My heart pounded. I had tears in my eyes so many times and even cried at times. It’s serious that we get Republican’s back in. And for those that have something to say, it can be the lesser of the evils for you.
