जेद्दा में अमेरिकी वाणिज्य दूतावास के सामने हमले में दो की मौत: सऊदी अधिकारी

सऊदी अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, जेद्दा में अमेरिकी वाणिज्य दूतावास की इमारत के सामने हुए हमले में दो लोगों की मौत हो गई है।

सऊदी प्रेस एजेंसी (एसपीए) ने बुधवार को बताया कि जेद्दा में वाणिज्य दूतावास की इमारत के पास बंदूक के साथ एक व्यक्ति को रोका गया, जिसके कारण उसके और सुरक्षा अधिकारियों के बीच गोलीबारी हुई।

सुरक्षा अधिकारियों ने उस व्यक्ति को गोली मार दी.

इस बीच, एजेंसी के अनुसार, घटना में घायल हुए अमेरिकी राजनयिक सुविधा के एक सुरक्षा गार्ड ने बाद में दम तोड़ दिया।

एसपीए के अनुसार, हथियारबंद व्यक्ति ने वाणिज्य दूतावास भवन के पास एक कार खड़ी की और बंदूक लेकर वाहन से बाहर निकला, जिसके बाद सुरक्षा बलों ने उसके साथ गोलीबारी की।

JEDDAH — An armed man who attacked the American Consulate building in Jeddah on Wednesday was killed after an exchange of fire, an official spokesman said.

A Nepali worker in the consulate’s security guards has died after suffering a serious injury during the exchange of fire.

The spokesman for Makkah Police said that security investigations are still under way to ascertain the circumstances of the accident.

“On Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m., a person in a car stopped near the American Consulate building in Jeddah and got out carrying a firearm in his hand.

“Security authorities took the initiative to deal with him as required by the situation,” the statement read.

A man with a firearm was stopped near the consulate building in Jeddah which led to an exchange of fire between him and security officials, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

The man was shot dead by security officials.

Meanwhile, a security guard at the US diplomatic facility who was injured in the incident subsequently succumbed to his injuries, according to the agency.

According to SPA, the armed man parked a car near the consulate building and exited the vehicle carrying a gun, after which security forces exchanged fire with him.
