🚨🇧🇴ARMED GROUP TAKES OVER BOLIVIAN MILITARY POST

An armed group seized a military post near Cochabamba, Bolivia, taking soldiers captive and seizing weapons and ammunition, according to the Bolivian military.

The standoff comes amid highway blockades by supporters of former President Evo Morales, with tensions rising between Morales’ faction and President Luis Arce’s administration ahead of the 2025 elections.

President Arce condemned the takeover, describing it as treason and urging a peaceful resolution. The ongoing disruptions have reportedly cost Bolivia over $1.7 billion.
