🇯🇵 ANTI-AGING GENES EXTEND LIFESPAN IN FLIES

Japanese scientists have made significant strides in anti-aging research by transferring regenerative genes from simple organisms to fruit flies.

The study, conducted by the University of Tokyo, focused on high regeneration JmjC genes (HRJD) and demonstrated that these genes could improve the longevity of aged flies by increasing the division of intestinal stem cells and preserving vital proteins.

While the flies didn’t regenerate injured tissues, the findings suggest potential for new anti-aging therapies and stem cell treatments in humans.
