The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, responded to the wife of the Israeli prisoner in its possession, “David Konio”, who appealed to the resistance to obtain a video recording showing her husband’s condition.

The Qassam Brigades wrote in the video clip in Arabic, English and Hebrew: “Soon… time is running out,” and posted a video of the wife of the Israeli captive David Konio, who is with them in the Gaza Strip.

Shortly after, Al-Qassam broadcast another video clip, in response to the message of the prisoner Konio’s wife, in which she said: “Netanyahu has not decided yet,” and did not reveal the prisoner’s fate, and merely said: “David, after he graduated and the military pressure increased, he was either killed, injured, or in good health.”

“My name is Sharon Cuneo, and my husband David Cuneo is in Gaza. You know that Islam considers prisoners to be weak groups that deserve compassion, kindness and care, such as the poor and the orphan, and they must be treated humanely, respecting their rights and preserving their humanity, so I am asking for a video of David to see. Thank you,” Sharon, David Cuneo’s wife, said in her message.

On January 4, the Al-Qassam Brigades published a new letter from an Israeli female prisoner held by them in the Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam broadcast a message from an Israeli prisoner named Liri Albag (19 years old), and she addressed the occupation government headed by Benjamin Netanyahu: “I ask you, O government of Israel. I really want to ask you. Do you want to kill us?”

“I am only 19 years old and my whole life is still ahead of me but it has stopped,” added the recruit, Albaj. “At the beginning of the new year, the whole world is celebrating and we are starting a dark year and a year of loneliness.”

Al-Baaj pointed out that the prisoners held by the resistance are not at the top of the priorities of Netanyahu’s government or the occupation army, “even the world has begun to forget us and does not care about our suffering.”

She pointed out that one of her colleagues was seriously injured due to the current army operations in the Gaza Strip and “we are in a terrifying nightmare, and our survival depends on the withdrawal of the occupation forces and their failure to reach us.”

In a letter to the occupation government, she said: To the occupation government, if your loved ones were the ones in captivity, would the war have continued until now? I really want to ask you, do you want to kill us?

And to the Minister of War, she said: You know my father, look him in the eye and tell him that my mother and I will not embrace their daughter, look at him and say that, you will not have the courage for that.

She added: I saw my death with my own eyes, and what happened to my friend, I realized that our lives are not important to you, I understood that we are a toy to you, I simply understood that you are playing with our destinies, and you certainly will not be able to get us out of here alive with military operations, this does not work, you know, and it is crazy to think that this method will achieve a result.

She added: This is a crazy chase. What we are aware of through your actions is not normal. We are under crazy bombing every day. Do you know? What is life like in a place that you are bombing and where there is no shelter?

She said, “If anything happens to me, remember me, remember my name, and remember this video, and let it be written on the grave that what happened was because of the government and the army. They are guilty and accused of killing us, and my blood is on their hands.”
