CanadaтАЩs postal network ground to a halt today as 55,000 postal workers launched a nationwide strike after yearlong talks with Canada Post failed.

The strike halts all mail and parcel processing, disrupting deliveries ahead of the holiday season.

Canada Post warned of lingering delays even after the strike ends, while private courier services remain operational.

The union demands a 22% wage hike over 4 years, paid medical leave, and better health benefits, rejecting Canada PostтАЩs 11.5% offer and calls for a 7-day delivery schedule.
