Explosions have hit several areas in Lebanon, including Beirut’s Dahiyeh suburb, following a high-tech attack yesterday that caused thousands of Hezbollah pagers to explode.

Images circulating online show the communication devices Hezbollah used that reportedly detonated in the attacks.

The blasts occurred during the funeral of 4 Hezbollah operatives killed in last night’s explosions.

At the same time, Israeli jets triggered a sonic boom over Beirut, further escalating the situation.

Hundreds of explosions hit Beirut’s southern suburbs, southern Lebanon, and the Bekaa region again today – caused not by pagers, but by walkie-talkies this time.

Explosive devices, identified as “Icom F82” are high-power VHF radios with 7W output and ranges extending up to 30km in ideal conditions—perfect for Hezbollah’s encrypted communications in Lebanon’s dense, mountainous terrain.

With digital voice/data capabilities, they offer secure comms across border regions and remote areas.

Over 100 people were injured in these blasts, including several at the funeral for those killed during yesterday’s pager explosions.

Today’s Hezbollah radio explosions caused far more damage than yesterday’s pager blasts.

Casualties are now in the hundreds, however, expected to rise, but compared to thousands from the previous day it appears that Hezbollah operatives may have stopped using some of the impacted devices.

Multiple Hezbollah ICOM radios detonated across southern Lebanon and Beirut, causing significant damage and numerous injuries.

Several explosions occurred during a funeral in Beirut, where Hezbollah officials were present.

ICOM radios are used for non-encrypted communication.

Between the pager explosions yesterday, and today’s ICOM radios, Hezbollah’s communication network appears to be extensively damaged.
