🇩🇿 ALGERIA: COURT CERTIFIES TEBBOUNE’S LANDSLIDE VICTORY

Algeria’s constitutional court has confirmed President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s reelection win with 84.3% of the vote after reviewing disputed counts.

The court slightly lowered Tebboune’s share but kept his lead over main challenger Abdellali Hassan Cherif by 75 percentage points.

Both challengers qualified for campaign reimbursement, surpassing the 5% vote share threshold.

Voter turnout was 46.1%, higher than in 2019. Tebboune’s inauguration date for his second term is yet to be announced.
