🛑 STOP ASKING FOR YOUR FEELINGS TO BE PROTECTED

Do you not realize that by supporting “hate speech” laws and a “crackdown” on mean memes, you are literally asking to be placed in a padded cell?

Benjamin Franklin:

“Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech.”

Politicians should not control what is allowed to be spoken—and there is zero proof that arresting people for insults or mean tweets leads to anything but festering hatred and growing divides.

Charles Bradlaugh:

“Without free speech, no search for truth is possible; without free speech, no discovery of truth is useful.”

If anything, we should be lifting up the idiots so that the light shined on their dumb views can burn them out of existence with a million people proving them wrong.

Putting handcuffs on hate isn’t going to make it magically disappear.

You can shove dirty gym clothes under the couch as long as you’d like, but it will not make it go away—all it will do is allow it to fester and mold into something far worse than what was originally there.

Destroying hate with truth is more powerful than trying to silence it.

Freedom of speech is the bedrock of democracy. If the truth is suppressed, it is impossible to make an informed voting decision.
