🚨🇨🇦 BREAKING: SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAUSE MAJOR FLOODING AND POWER OUTAGES IN TORONTO

Thunderstorms brought heavy rainfall and flash flooding to Toronto on Tuesday, causing major disruptions.

Over 100 millimeters of rain fell, matching the city’s average July rainfall. Toronto Fire Service rescued over 20 people and responded to nearly 1,700 calls.

Almost 170,000 customers lost power, and major roads were submerged. Rapper Drake’s mansion was flooded.

Social media showed submerged cars and emergency workers in boats.

Mayor Olivia Chow emphasized the increasing frequency of such storms due to climate change and stressed the need for action.
