Grayson’s parents:

“We have spent the last 24 hours trying to come to terms with the fact that our son is gone.

It’s surreal that we not only have to admit it to ourselves, but that we also have to acknowledge it to the world. It’s a nightmare.

Life wasn’t always easy for Grayson, and although he took his own life, we know he rests peacefully now.”

Murray, who struggled with mental health issues, recently won the Sony Open, ending a long winless streak. He was regarded as one of the world’s best junior golf players.

He was found deceased on May 25, a day after withdrawing from the Charles Schwab Challenge due to illness.

🚨 PGA TOUR WINNER GRAYSON MURRAY DIES AT 30

Two-time PGA Tour winner Grayson Murray died Saturday morning, confirmed by the Tour.

Murray withdrew from the Charles Schwab Challenge on Friday due to illness.

PGA Commissioner Jay Monahan:

“The PGA Tour is a family… We mourn Grayson and pray for his loved ones.”

Murray, who battled anxiety and depression, had been sober for several months.
