Violence subsided slightly after France deployed 1,000 troops and police officers after days of rioting over voting reforms.

Five people, including two police officers, have been killed since Monday, causing French authorities to impose a state of emergency with a 6pm – 6am curfew.

During a recent tour of a weapons factory, Kim ordered them to accelerate production to address a rising need as global conflicts increase in intensity.

It comes amid accusations he has been supplying arms to Russia for use in Ukraine.

Kim has also been overseeing the test of new missile systems, some of which are capable of carrying North Korea’s estimated 40-50 nuclear warheads.
