Maldives wants Indian troops to leave the country by March 15

Stating that they have asked the 88 Indian military personnel in the Maldives to withdraw from the country by March 15, Maldives President Mohammed Muizzu’s public policy secretary Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim said:

“Indian military personnel cannot stay in the Maldives. This is the policy of President Mohamed Muizzu and this administration.”

Maldives President Mohammed Muizzu made his first visit to Türkiye after taking office.
