End to crimes of Israel, Iranian Foreign Minister

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian says putting an immediate end to Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people in Gaza and dispatch of humanitarian aid are urgent priorities given the critical situation in the besieged Strip.

In a phone call with Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf late on Thursday, Amir-Abdollahian said Muslim countries must ramp up their diplomatic consultations to stop the Israeli regime’s crimes against the Palestinian civilians and defenseless people of Gaza.

He reiterated Iran’s policy on the issue of Palestine and its unwavering support for Palestinians and added that the Iranian Red Crescent Society is ready to send food and medicine to Gaza through Egypt.

For his part, the Algerian foreign minister said the current situation in Palestine is the outcome of the failure of political proposals to help Palestinians achieve their legitimate right of having an independent country.

Attaf also urged a stop to the violence against innocent Palestinian civilians and the immediate provision of humanitarian aid to people in the Gaza Strip.

In a post on his X account earlier on Thursday, the top Iranian diplomat said the Muslim world will never tolerate the Zionists’ war crimes against women and children in the Gaza Strip.
