President Trump will reportedly not sign a G7 statement urging both Israel and Iran to halt attacks that have killed dozens on both sides since Friday.

The draft statement acknowledges Israel’s right to self-defense and the need to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, while calling for de-escalation and diplomatic solutions.

White House official:

“President Trump will continue to work towards ensuring Iran cannot obtain a nuclear weapon.”

Trump stated Iran had 60 days to reach a deal:

“On the 61st day, I said, we don’t have a deal. They should talk immediately, before it’s too late.”

G7 discussions continue through Tuesday.

Nuclear talks between the U.S. and Iran were canceled due to the ongoing strikes.
