3,600 KILLED IN MYANMAR EARTHQUAKE — RESCUE TEAMS BLOCKED BY MILITARY RULES

A huge 7.7 earthquake hit Myanmar on March 28, killing at least 3,600 people and injuring more than 5,000.

Over 160 people are still missing, and the number keeps rising.

In the worst-hit area, Sagaing Region, 693 deaths were reported — but rescue teams say the real number could be higher.

Locals are forced to dig through rubble by hand because there’s no heavy machinery, like backhoes, available.

Worse, rescue groups can’t act without permission from the military government, which makes them submit building addresses before helping.

Many people are dying just because help can’t get there fast enough.
