मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक ड्रग रेगुलेटर सेंट्रल ड्रग्स स्टैंडर्ड्स कंट्रोल ऑर्गेनाइजेशन (CDSCO) ने अपनी ताजा रिपोर्ट में 53 दवाओं को क्वालिटी टेस्ट में फेल घोषित किया है। इन दवाओं में पेरासिटामोल समेत कैल्शियम और विटामिन डी3 सप्लीमेंट्स, एंटी-डायबिटीज दवाएं और हाई ब्लड प्रेशर की दवाएं शामिल हैं। इन दवाओं का फेल होना आम जनता के स्वास्थ्य के लिए गंभीर चिंता का विषय बन गया है।

CDSCO द्वारा जारी की गई इस सूची में दवाओं को “नॉट ऑफ स्टैंडर्ड क्वालिटी” (NSQ) घोषित किया गया है। ये अलर्ट रैंडम सैंपलिंग के आधार पर जारी किए जाते हैं, जिन्हें विभिन्न राज्यों के ड्रग अधिकारियों द्वारा एकत्र किया जाता है। क्वालिटी टेस्ट में फेल होने वाली दवाओं में प्रमुख रूप से पेरासिटामोल 500 एमजी, विटामिन डी3 सप्लीमेंट्स और डायबिटीज की दवाएं शामिल हैं।

CDSCO ने दो अलग-अलग सूचियां जारी की हैं। पहली सूची में 48 दवाएं हैं जो क्वालिटी टेस्ट में फेल हुई हैं, जबकि दूसरी सूची में 5 दवाओं को रखा गया है, जिनके बारे में कंपनियों को जवाब देने का मौका दिया गया है। हालांकि, अब तक फार्मा कंपनियों ने इन नतीजों को मानने से इनकार करते हुए इसे गलत ठहराया है।

अब इस बात पर नज़र होगी कि संबंधित कंपनियों और सरकार द्वारा क्या कदम उठाए जाते हैं ताकि ऐसी दवाओं का बाजार से तुरंत हटाया जा सके और आम जनता को सुरक्षित रखा जा सके।

53 Drugs Fail Quality Test: Public Health at Risk

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has flagged 53 commonly used drugs, including paracetamol, calcium, and vitamin D3 supplements, for failing quality tests. The drugs, which also include treatments for diabetes and high blood pressure, have raised significant concerns about public safety.

The CDSCO categorized these drugs as “Not of Standard Quality” (NSQ) based on random sampling conducted by state drug regulators. Among the failed drugs are popular medications such as paracetamol 500 mg, vitamin D3 supplements, and the anti-diabetic drug glimepiride. The list also includes metronidazole, commonly used for treating stomach infections, which failed the quality test.

The drug regulator has issued two lists: one with 48 drugs that failed quality tests and another with 5 drugs, offering the manufacturers an opportunity to respond. However, several pharmaceutical companies have contested the findings, denying responsibility and questioning the test results.

The focus now shifts to the actions that the government and regulatory authorities will undertake to ensure the swift removal of these substandard drugs from the market and safeguard public health.
