पाकिस्तान की राजधानी इस्लामाबाद में पुलिस ने उन तीन अधिकारियों को निलंबित कर दिया है जिन्होंने महिला दिवस के मौके पर औरत मार्च में शामिल महिलाओं के साथ बदसलूकी की थी.
पुलिस ने बताया है कि महिलाओं के साथ बदसलूकी करने वाले सभी कर्मचारियों के ख़िलाफ़ कार्रवाई की जाएगी.
पाकिस्तान के गृह मंत्री राणा सनाउल्लाह ख़ान ने इस्लामाबाद के आईजी से इस घटना के बारे में रिपोर्ट मांगी थी.
गृह मंत्री ने एक बयान में मार्च में शामिल महिलाओं से माफ़ी भी मांगी है.
इस्लामाबाद के आईजी डॉ. अकबर नासिर ने डीआईजी से इस घटना पर तुरंत रिपोर्ट देने के लिए कहा था.

The police personnel involved in baton-charging the participants of the Women’s March have been suspended. Moreover, other persons responsible for misbehavior are also being identified, and proper action will be taken against them too.

पाकिस्तान के अलग-अलग शहरों में महिला दिवस के मौके पर औरत मार्च निकाला जाता है.
पाकिस्तान की पर्यावरण मंत्री शैरी रहमान ने भी पुलिस कार्रवाई की आलोचना की है.
पुलिस ने इस मार्च के दौरान उस समय लाठीचार्ज किया जब ट्रांसजेंडर लोगों का समूह प्रस्तुति दे रहा था.
आयोजकों का कहना है कि भगदड़ की वजह से कुछ लोगों को चोट भी आई है
