A judge has extended the pause on Trump’s plan to use a 200-year-old wartime law to deport alleged Venezuelan gang members.

The law, called the Alien Enemies Act, was last used during World War II.

Trump wants to use it to deport members of Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan gang he labeled a terrorist group.

The ACLU says this would deny migrants the right to defend themselves in court.

The case will now go to the Supreme Court.

🚨🇺🇸TRUMP’S GANG DEPORTATION PLAN BLOCKED

Federal Judge James Boasberg just refused to lift his order halting the deportation of Venezuelan migrants.

The Biden-appointed judge ruled that Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act to deport alleged Tren de Aragua gang members violates due process.

Hundreds detained under the act must now receive individualized hearings before they can be removed, even as the administration insists they’re dangerous.
