Archaeologists in North Macedonia were digging around and accidentally found a whole ancient city that’s older than Rome.

Like, way older.

People used to think it was just some random Roman fort. Nope.

Turns out it might be the capital of an ancient kingdom—and possibly where Alexander the Great’s grandma was born.

They found coins, game pieces, even a clay theater ticket (yeah, ancient people liked live shows too).

Bonus: the place has been around since the Bronze Age.

Moral of the story? The ground is hiding cooler stuff than your history book—and we’re still figuring out just how epic it was.
