ЁЯЗоЁЯЗ│ЁЯЗ╡ЁЯЗ░ INDIA-PAKISTAN CONFLICT: FROM PARTITION TO OPERATION SINDOOR

The India-Pakistan conflict began with the 1947 Partition, triggering the first war over Kashmir.

There are still deep wounds over the partition on both sides, contributing to generational pain, decades later.

A ceasefire in 1949 split the region but did not resolve its status.
Wars in 1965 and 1971 followed, the latter resulting in BangladeshтАЩs creation.

In 1999, PakistanтАЩs incursion across the Line of Control (LOC) sparked the Kargil War, the first after both nations became nuclear powers.

Tensions reignited after 2008тАЩs Mumbai attacks, and again in 2016 and 2019 with deadly strikes in Uri and Pulwama.

IndiaтАЩs 2019 revocation of KashmirтАЩs autonomy under Article 370 fueled further unrest and crackdowns.

Violence surged in 2024, with attacks targeting Indian pilgrims and workers.
On April 22, 2025, militants killed 26 tourists in Kashmir. India blamed Pakistan, triggering тАЬOperation SindoorтАЭ on May 6тАФairstrikes across Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

With daily cross-border fire and diplomatic ties severed, both powers have always been on the brink.

ЁЯЪиЁЯЗоЁЯЗ│ЁЯЗ╡ЁЯЗ░ MODI’S “WATER WARFARE” THREAT PRECEDED MILITARY STRIKES | PAKISTAN WARNED THIS IS “ACT OF WAR”

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared “water used to go outside, now it will flow for India” hours before launching military strikes against PakistanтАФan ominous reference to Delhi’s suspension of the 65-year-old Indus Waters Treaty.

The treaty governs waters feeding 80% of Pakistan’s irrigated agriculture and its hydropower, with Islamabad previously warning that tampering with these rivers would constitute an “act of war.”

This water dispute dramatically raises the stakes beyond military confrontation, as both nations have now severed diplomatic ties, suspended bilateral trade, closed airspace to each other’s airlines, and expelled diplomats.

Experts warn that weaponizing water resources introduces an existential dimension to the conflict between the nuclear-armed neighbors.
