🚨🇮🇱HAMAS OFFERS TO RELEASE 5 HOSTAGES FOR EID AL-FITR CEASEFIRE—U.S.-ISRAELI HOSTAGE INCLUDED

Hamas has agreed to release 5 hostages, including American-Israeli Edan Alexander, in exchange for a ceasefire during Eid al-Fitr, according to Egyptian officials.

The proposed truce would begin Sunday and could last up to 50 days. It includes the release of Palestinian prisoners and a ramp-up of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Officials say the deal now hinges on Israel and the U.S. approving the terms.

Eid begins Sunday, ending Wednesday.
